GIS Basic Course

A GIS Basic Course is intended to provide a more comprehensive and deeper introduction to GIS users with the GIS world through 40 hours based on the extensive introduction course to learn more about complex GIS functions and operations. This five-day course covers the topics of the Introduction Course expanded with additional functionality: collecting and editing data, working with databases; coordinate system transformations; raster data processing; WFS and WMS functionalities; raster georeferencing; simple spatial data analysis; creating and visualizing a more complex map.

A weekend course refers to the basic course with duration of 40 hours held out of the working week: on Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays during 2 weekends. The basic course is conceived to cover the main content of the introductory course with additional knowledge of the functionality of the chosen platform (ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS).
